Ari Lennox
Courtney Shanade Salter, better known as Ari Lennox, is an American musician and singer from Washington, D.C., who was the first woman to be signed to J. Cole's Dreamville Records record label. The debut EP Pho, released was released on the 21st of October, 2016 was released via Dreamville Records. Her career began to grow in notoriety. Shea Butter Baby, her debut album, was released on the 7th of May, 2019. Ari Lennox posted her debut songs online in the year 2012. The singer released her debut album the single Five Finger Discount in 2013 and Ariography EP in 2013. Her uploads continued music online in 2014, including the independently-released single Bound. In 2015, she appeared on Omen's Elephant Eyes Album with the track Sweat It Out on July 21. J. Cole, who was part of the Dreamville crew back then was interested in having her do some Rihanna reference. She officially was signed by Dreamville Records on 8 December. In the Album Revenge of the Dreamers II, she appeared on the track Backseat, along with Cozz. The singer released Pho, her debut EP on October 21 on the 21st of October in 2016. Ari Lennox then appeared as the opening artist to J. Cole on his song Change in 2017, and did a performance on 4 Your Eyez Only Tour. She also appeared as a guest artist on two tracks, including the EarthGang's Nothing but the Best song as well as Bas' Icarus. On the 16th of July in 2018, Ari Lennox released the first single, Whipped Cream on her first album Shea Butter Baby with an accompanying music video which debuted on September 5. On November 9 she released two additional singles called 40 Shades of Choke and Grampa. In November, 13 the singer released two new singles titled the No One or Pdigree. Shea Butter Baby was released as her first single on the 26th of February in 2019, to accompany the album Creed II. Shea Butter Baby appeared with Cole in Creed II's sound track. Creed II sound track on November 16. The music video debuted on the 20th of February in conjunction with the song. Within one week, the video had more than 3,000,000 views. In December of 2018, she was performing as a support act on From East Atlanta With Love Tour. From East Atlanta With Love Tour in conjunction with 6LACK.
